TTK: Computational Thinking

Librarians,
Annie MPCheck out Annie Murphy Paul’s post about COMPUTATIONAL THINKING.  It’s got some terrific insights.
We spend a lot of time trying to make computers think like humans, but as Annie Murphy Paul suggests, it’s also important for us to understand how computers “think.”  Just as we can’t wait until high school to teach information literacy, students need to learn early about the underlying concepts of how computers work and not have to be taking Computer Science to begin learning it.  This kinetic approach should also “rewire” brains in a good way
If you are not subscribing to Annie Murphy Paul’s “The Brilliant Report” this is a good introduction to it.  She’s worth adding to your regular reading.
