TTK: Helping Students Become Global Citizens… with poetry

As a 21st century school librarian you want projects to guide your students into becoming global and digital citizens.

Here is a poetry project that’s already up and running and will connect your students to others from around the world  http://langwitches.org/blog/2014/08/31/global-project-visualize-poetry-around-the-world/

Thanks to Laura Hnatiuk who posted this in the Saskatchewan School Library Association Facebook page. (She posts there regularly and has uncovered some wonderful links).
Are you thinking globally?  We know your library goes beyond its walls — but is it going beyond borders.  If students are to successfully compete in a world culture, they need to have a personal understanding of people from many different places and learn to accept diverse cultures and thinking.  You can start them on their way.
